Does anyone know how the Big East handled ticket allotments in the past for
the men's bball tourney? With 16 teams, I can't see each school getting
more than 1,000 at best, but I was wondering. Do they sell the tickets via
sessions (2 Wed., 2 Thurs, 1 Fri, 1 Sat.)? Do they arrange it so that
certain schools only get ticket to certain sessions? Not sure how that
would work though.

Curious because I am part of a group that has gone to 14 straight Great
Midwest, then C-USA tourneys and I am looking forward to the Big East
tourney, but do not know how available tickets will be, even though my
school (UC).

Thanks for any thoughts.

Will all 16 teams make it into the tournament? Doesn't the Big East
limit the tournament to the top 12 teams anyway?

That's correct, only 12 teams will go. Top four get a first-round
bye, eleven total games in the tournament (all of which will be on
ESPN or the Duece).

But I am guessing all 16 teams get seats. What do you do with the teams
fighting for the final 3 spots during the last week? You can't wait and
give the ones who make it their seats 5 days ahead of time. So I am
figuring all 16 teams will be allocated seats. Someone on a UC email list
said he heard each school gets 800 tickets which is roughly what I had
heard. They will be a very hot item.

Still curious how they ran it in the past for anyone who went.

Thanks!

Jon
